Our trip to Titleist TPI and trip of the plant and Scotty Cameron Gallery
Hi everyone I was invited to an Elite Fitters Seminar at the Titleist TPI Institute. It is a huge facility that has 2 playable holes, grass driving range, short game area and perfect putting green to hit putts. The nicest facility I've seen.
We had a full product seminar for all their Titleist products. We started with balls and then we went over the new 718 model of irons including the New AP3 irons which are a good looking thinner top line than the AP1s and less offset. I think this will be a huge seller for them. We went over all the Scotty Cameron putters including the new Futura 5.5 M model putter inspired from Justin Thomas's putter. We met with Bob Vokey himself to talk wedges. He is THE most knowledgeable person on planet earth when it comes to wedge grinds and design. We went over the balls and the founding of Titleist golf balls. It started with a missed putt on a Sunday in 1030. Phil Young the owner of a precision molded rubber company missed a putt on the 18th hole of a match. Phil was convinced something was wrong with that ball. Phil's had a friend that was the head of the x-ray department at a local hospital. After x-raying the ball the core was in fact, off center.
